Bridal keepsake to remember your magical day

The bridal keepsakes are made with a piece of your wedding dress. This could be scraps from the time you’re buying your dress and getting it altered or designed, or it could be from your actual wedding dress (or that of a loved one). Both ways are equally popular at Pokidots.

Send me these scraps or a cut piece of your wedding dress and some other requested details, such as photos of you or your loved one. A few weeks later, your framed, personalized bridal keepsake will be delivered to your door, wherever you are in the world!

Your bridal keepsake is ready to be created!

Some brides “trash the dress” and set aside a part of it for me, others keep it for years and realize they don’t need it anymore, then they find Pokidots in their search for what to do with their wedding dress.

Women have also cut a piece for me from the back of their wedding dress, and were still able to mend it and save it for their daughters or family members. If your dress has a train or an A-line or mermaid bottom, you might be able to do that too!

Whatever your case is, there is a way to bring your dream bridal keepsake to life!

A unique, personal gift that will be deeply cherished

The bridal keepsake is a unique, luxury piece that you can gift a cherished bride if you are in her close circle; and if you have access to her wedding dress alterations/shop, it’s even better, as you would be able to sneak some of the wedding dress scraps from the alterations, or get swatches from the shop.

The maid of honor, the bridesmaids (perhaps collectively), the mother of the bride, her future mother-in-law, or a close family member are the top “giftors” of such a piece. Even the groom qualifies! The wedding planner is also a good person/team to gift such a piece. The keepsake will need to be gifted after the wedding, however, as I will need photos of the bride at the wedding in order to create her portrait.

Bridesmaid or special occasion keepsakes

The keepsake and the process are the same as the bridal keepsake made with the wedding dress (read above), the only difference being that the dress is a special occasion dress, or any special outfit you’d like to celebrate, such as a 2-piece ensemble, a sari, etc.

I get most of the gifting ideas from my clients. In the wedding theme, the bride can also offer a special occasion keepsake to her mother or her mother-in-law, or other members of the family, using parts of the dresses they have worn at her wedding.

A memorial keepsake honoring a loved one:

One of my customers sent me a piece of the silk dress her mother wore at her (my customer’s) wedding. Her mother had passed since, and my customer still had her dress for over 15 years. It was the perfect item to use to create a memorial piece honoring her mom.

Highlighting a joyful phase of life and/or a special garment:

Another customer wanted to preserve the memories from a vintage raincoat that her mother wore when she was younger and then passed down to her. She had 2 keepsakes made, one for her and one for her mother, and immortalized the special raincoat that held many happy memories for both of them over decades, and celebrated her relationship with her mom.

Scroll down to the shop, and once you order, I will get in touch with you to email you a shipping label so you could send me what you have.

If you have the whole dress, I will need only a piece of it, and I will guide you on how to cut it after I see some photos. It takes courage to cut into your precious dress, but not one keepsake customer has regretted making the decision to pick up those scissors and have a custom keepsake created!
